Dedrone GTM And Product Marketing - New Sensors, SaaS Platform & Defense Systems
While at Dedrone, Susan worked with R&D, engineering, production, legal and executive teams to outline GTM strategies for multiple sensors and software services, as well work on retiring products. Activities included creating datasheets, new sales collateral, and developing announcement workback plans to align timing, messaging, and customer support.
Dedrone’s software, DedroneTracker, uses data inputs from intelligent sensors (RF, EO/IR, radar), processed through an intelligent AI/ML-driven process, to detect, classify and track drone activity.

During her time, the team transitioned from the term “Anti-Drone” solutions to “Airspace Security,” and eventually, establishing the first-of-it’s-kind software offering, Airspace Security as-a-Service (ASaaS).
Susan also worked on the introduction of DedroneDefender, a non-kinetic solution to defend airspace against UAS, a product exclusively available to defense organizations with the legal authority to interfere with drone operations. DroneDefender was acquired by Dedrone from Battelle Memorial Institute, and was later rebranded as DedroneDefender.
Due to the sensitive nature of the product, including an ITAR restriction, she worked with legal teams to create an approachable media strategy that would advance Dedrone’s leadership as an end-to-end, detect and defeat service provider, while also helping educate commercial customers on how they could take proactive measures to defend their operations.
